St. Patrick Says: Drink Up!
If going out and potentially getting pinched for not being in the correct attire is not your scene, we’ve got you covered. Grab a group of your favorite lads and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at home. Don’t worry, we have listed a few ways to guarantee a celebration and Irish spirit… DRINKING!
Irish Poker – All you need is a deck of cards, a group of friends, and lots of beer. Players have to guess which color the card they’re about to run is, red or black. If they’re wrong, they drink. Keep playing until you decide to declare a winner.
St. Patrick Says – Like Simon Says, but with beer! Players have to do a “St. Patrick” says, and whoever fails must drink.
Shot Potato – Like hot potato, but different. All that is needed is a potato, shot glasses, Irish tunes, and Guinness beer. Everyone sits in a circle with a shot glass and one person in the middle with the potato. The center person tosses the potato to someone in the circle, and they continue passing it on as music plays. When the music stops, the person holding the potato must take a shot. The game ends when only one person is left in the circle.
Irish Trivia – Ask questions based on Ireland, its traditions, and celebrities from the country. Anyone who gets the question incorrect must take a shot.
McNickels – Similar to its American counterpart Quarters, toss a coin off a table and into a glass of alcohol. Add some Irish themed liquor, it’s St. Patrick’s Day!
Irish Roulette – All that is needed is a set of dice and a shot. All players roll the dice at the same time, the person with the lowest number has to take their shot. Refill the shots and roll again.
